Check a widget snippet before you publish it

The embed is one hosted script: https://cdn.tkit.ai/widget.js with a data-widget-id. Paste the tag you are about to put on the site. This page tells you whether that text matches the snippet the product generates.

What the check looks for

A passing snippet points at the loader on cdn.tkit.ai, includes an id, and usually carries async. A query string on the script URL does not fail the check. An id that is not eight letters or numbers is a warning, because that is the shape of widget ids in the product. The placeholder your-widget-id is also a warning: it is the sample, not a live widget.

The check does not fetch the script, contact the API, or store the paste. It cannot tell you that a domain is on the allow list, that the widget is enabled, or that a visitor will see the launcher. Those are dashboard settings. After the text looks right, follow the install guide and send a test message from an allowed domain.

Snippet checker

The check runs locally. The snippet stays in this tab and is not uploaded.

  • Fix.Paste the script tag from your widget settings. This page checks the text in your browser and does not send it anywhere.

Canonical snippet

<script src="https://cdn.tkit.ai/widget.js" data-widget-id="your-widget-id" async></script>

Where the snippet goes

Put it on the pages where you want the launcher: a marketing site, docs, or the app. The same tag works in plain HTML, and the install guide shows a Next.js script example. Webflow and other site builders that accept a footer script can use the same tag. You do not install an npm package to embed the widget.

If the launcher never appears, the usual causes are an id from a different workspace, a domain that is not allowed, or a script that never reached the page. The live chat widget page describes allowed domains, including wildcards such as *.example.com.
