Fair Use Policy

How we apply plan limits and keep the tkit.ai widget reliable for everyone.

1. 01Why we have this policy

   tkit.ai is a shared, real-time service. A small number of extreme or abusive workloads can degrade the widget and dashboard for everyone else. This policy explains the reasonable-use expectations that sit alongside the published limits on each plan, so the Service stays fast for all customers.

2. 02Plan limits come first

   Each plan defines concrete allowances — seats and ticket volume. Those published limits are the primary measure of fair use. When a workspace exceeds a hard limit, the affected feature may be paused until you upgrade or the limit resets. See the pricing page for the current allowances.

3. 03What “unlimited” means

   Where a plan describes an allowance as “unlimited,” it means we do not meter normal, good-faith usage — not that the resource is infinite. Automated traffic, load testing, or volumes far beyond what a comparable business would generate are not covered and may be rate-limited or throttled.

4. 04Acceptable use of the widget

   You agree not to use tkit.ai to:

   • Embed the widget on sites you do not own or are not authorized to modify.
   • Send spam, malware, phishing, or harassing content through chat.
   • Collect special-category or sensitive personal data without a lawful basis and proper notice to your visitors.
   • Script, scrape, or automate the dashboard or API to bypass plan limits or security controls.
   • Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without our written permission.

5. 05Protecting the platform

   We apply rate limits and abuse detection to keep the widget responsive. We may temporarily throttle traffic that threatens platform stability — for example, a runaway script generating tickets — and will reach out where we can.

6. 06If you exceed fair use

   Our first step is almost always a conversation. Where usage consistently sits well beyond your plan, we will contact you to find the right plan or a custom arrangement before taking any action. We reserve the right to throttle, suspend, or rate-limit usage that is abusive, automated, or endangers other customers, in line with our Terms of Service.

7. 07Changes

   We may update this policy as the Service and its limits evolve. The effective date above reflects the most recent change.
